For the past three days, I have woken up in three different countries: Tunisia, Malta and Italy.
In Tunisia, the majority of the Ultimate FAM group went on a historical and cultural bus tour throughout La Goulette and visited the archeological ruins of Carthage, a city from 6th century B.C.

We also visited the Roman baths of Antonius and a small museum on Byrsa hill. The last stop in Tunisia was in Sidi Bou Said, a fishing village that included street markets for shopping and exploring. The most memorable experience in Tunisia was a camel ride in front of the MSC Splendida.
In Malta, Aggie Stoduto, product manager, Sunquest and ALBATours; Jennifer Matthews, Thomas Cook supervisor, inside sales and training; Phyllis Fragiorgi, regional sales manager, MSC Cruises (USA) Inc.; and I went on a City Sightseeing hop-on hop-off bus tour.

Our stops included Valletta, Medina, Rabat, Ta Qali, Mosta, St. Paul’s Bay, Qawra and Silema. I have heard many good things about Malta but actually witnessing its simplistic beauty and colours was beyond words. Even in the rain, it is one of the most beautiful places that I have seen.
Our second last stop on the cruise was in Messina, Italy. Here I took an excursion to Mount Etna, Europe’s highest volcano. The route passed through Zafferana Etnea, a town located on the volcano’s southern side. The group also visited the Silvestri craters and enjoyed views of Catania.
Tomorrow, we depart to Civitavecchia – our last stop. From there, the group will head over to Rome for a city tour and a farewell dinner.
