|SUNWING RELEASES DESTINATION WEDDINGS GUIDE|
Sunwing has launched its new Destination Weddings Guide. This second volume has doubled in size from its debut edition and includes an array of new and exciting features, along with the latest tips and trends, to help brides and grooms-to-be plan their dream destination wedding. |
Couples can choose from either the “Diamond” or “Platinum” Sunwing Weddings Planning Packages to ensure every detail of their dream wedding is taken care of.
The wedding planning services include personalized consultations; information on legal requirements; assistance with the necessary paperwork for a destination wedding; helpful planning outlines; budget spreadsheets; a month-to-month wedding checklist; and a personalized, interactive wedding website.
In response to readers’ feedback, the new edition of Wedding Planning Guide also covers etiquette questions and includes feature articles discussing ways to stretch a wedding budget; Caribbean wedding traditions; honeymooning in Paris; and the new trend of MAN-icures. Other helpful tips, advice, and suggestions are highlighted, including the return of the popular “Wedding Checklist”; an “Ask the Expert” section; a Top 20 Indie Wedding Song Playlist; instructions on how to make paper flowers; destination, resort, and excursion suggestions; and even signature wedding cocktail recipes.
Readers also have the chance to win exciting prizes with two separate contests. Newlyweds can submit their best wedding photos and a brief description for a chance to be featured in Sunwing’s next Destination Weddings Guide. Sunwing is also offering an additional contest for couples to win one of four one-week all inclusive holidays for two at the brand new, five-star Memories White Sands Beach Resort in Jamaica, opening May 2013.
Also, Sunwing Weddings for June 2013 through to October 2014 are now on sale with a wide range of Early Booking Offers available at a selection of hotels and resorts throughout Mexico and the Caribbean.

|132 pages and not a single same-sex image or reference. A major Canadian tour operator, and still squeamish about two guys kissing? Or dismissing the idea because gay marriage is not yet legal in many jurisdiction? What about commitment ceremonies?
But Sunwing did manage to include, in the "Wedding Traditions Explained" section, this charming tidbit:
"June weddings date back to Pagan times and rituals. The start of the summer was seen to be the most auspicious time since this was the month of sexual orgies!" - pg. 81
Surely there's both a missed opportunity and a disconnect with Canadian values here.
