Yesterday afternoon, in the centre of Yorkville, The Palm Beaches hosted a media reception at the new Four Seasons Hotel, which officially opened on Oct. 5.
Six industry partners were at the event including; the Boca Raton Resort & Club; The Chesterfield Hotel; Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach; The Ritz-Carlton; Palm Beach; and The Seagate Hotel & Spa, talking to the travel media about hotel updates and features.
“We are here today with our top resort partners from the destination to introduce them to the media in Toronto,” Carli Smith, director, communications and public relations, Palm Beach County Convention and Visitors Bureau told TRAVELHotNews.com. “We wanted to give them an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the market since it’s such a huge international market for us.”
“We thought it was important to take some time to come up and explain who we are, where we are and what we can offer the Canadian traveller,” Smith added. “We also enjoy now, three non-stop daily flights from Toronto and Montreal directly to the Palm Beaches.” The service commences on Oct. 28.
“In general, we are known for not only our luxury properties but also, we’re a major market for golf, we have over 170 different golf courses and we know that that resonates very well with [Canadians],” Smith said.
“There really is something for everyone no matter what the interest level is. And we wanted to make sure that before we approach the [winter] season that we invite all the Canadian travellers and let them know what it is that they can enjoy in Palm Beach.”
