| TRAFALGAR PRESENTS 2013 ITALY BROCHURE | |
Trafalgar has released its new, stand-alone Italy brochure. It includes 19 First Class, At Leisure and CostSaver trips with enhanced itineraries as well as three new ones: At Leisure’s Corsica & Sardinia and CostSaver’s Jewels of Italy and Highlights of the Italian Lakes.
Some of the itinerary highlights include:
Northern Italy - the 10-day itinerary is for regular Italy travellers looking to explore cities not included on other itineraries. Starting and ending in Milan, this trip takes clients to the heart of each northern city, stopping in Baveno, Genoa, Santa Margherita, La Spezia, Parma, and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Cinque Terre. Other highlights include a visit to the botanical gardens of Villa Taranto on the way to Baveno; and a trip to the Museum of Prosciutto and the Museo del Parmigiano-Reggiano in Parma.
Great Italian Cities - the 11-day At Leisure tour spends three-nights each in Rome, Florence and Venice. Guests will have the opportunity to explore on their own as well as spend time with local guides. Highlights include sightseeing in Florence including the multi-coloured marble Duomo and Ponte Vecchio; an excursion to Pisa; a Be My Guest dinner at Villa Calcinaia in Greve ; and a cruise in Venice.
Grand Italian Experience - the 17-day itinerary starts and ends in Rome and spans the country from north to south. Guests visit the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica, the Colosseum, and also stop in Sorrento, Assisi, Pompeii and Alberobello. In Sorrento, guests enjoy a cruise to the Isle of Capri where they’ll get a walking tour and free time to explore. Also included is a Be My Guest dinner at the Esposito family house. Two nights are spent in Santa Margherita, where guests will have a full day to explore. Other highlights include a guided walking tour of Pompeii’s excavation and a stop at Siena to see the Piazza del Campo.
