TRANSAT DISTRIBUTION CANADA ANNOUNCES THREE NEW APPOINTMENTS

As part of its product initiatives for 2013 and beyond, Transat Distribution Canada is announcing three new additions to its marketing team.

Firstly, Michelle Armstrong joins as manager, groups and special programs. Most recently with Transat Tours Canada, Armstrong has experience in groups and sales teams and will bring expertise and business building skills in order to expand this market for TDC.

Armstrong will be responsible for growing the groups engagement across the network and the 3rd Annual Groups Academy as well as managing TDC’s Star Traveller best customer program.

TDC also has a new cruise team, featuring Veronique Savoie as the manager, cruise products. Savoie has experience in TDC Marketing on the CRM team as well as the Transat Tours national accounts team and was one of TDC’s hosts on their most recent Cruise Academy. She will execute the 2013 Cruise Academy, work with the network to increase support of TDC’s Sail Away block space program and oversee the day to day relationships with TDC’s cruise partners.

Geneviève Naud also joins Savoie as the administrator, cruise desk, and will be responsible for the maintenance of the Sail Away program as well as cruise support and communications to the TDC network. Naud joins TDC from Transat Tours where she worked in cruise sales and customer service.

“We are thrilled to have these three ladies join the TDC marketing team," said Sandra Wesson, director of product and industry relations, TDC. "We are confident they will enable us to provide the best support and business building tools to our network to help them grow their groups and cruise sales.”

Savoie and Naud will be based in TDC’s Montreal head office and Armstrong will be based in the Toronto office.
