| ADVENTURE CENTER APPOINTS LARKIN AS MANAGING DIRECTOR | |||
| Additional changes at Intrepid Travel as a result | |||
Larkin has spent the past four and a half years as president of Intrepid Canada and said that he is looking forward to his new challenge. As a result of Larkin's move, Christian Wolters has been appointed to the role of vice president, sales & marketing for Intrepid Canada and will lead its operations in the region. Wolters was a founding member of the Intrepid Canada team alongside Larkin in 2008 and has been a part of leading the growth that Intrepid has experienced in the Canadian marketplace. “We have seen a lot of positive changes with Intrepid Canada in the past four years,” said Wolters. “Our sales have seen consistent growth, upwards of 35 per cent year-over-year, and I know with a strong team in place we will continue to improve our services to agents and build awareness for this style of travel.” Intrepid Canada will be expanding to include a new sales and reservations team servicing industry sales and online bookings. The team will be managed by Britt Buchalle, who has worked in the industry for over 12 years. Katy Rockett has been appointed to the role of marketing manager for Intrepid Canada and will support Wolters in managing its operations. Katie Olsson will continue to lead the industry sales team for North America and will be backed by three business development managers. All changes will come into effect Oct. 1, 2012. |
