On Aug. 15, Discover America Canada, sponsored by Travel South USA and Brand USA, is holding a private reception at Hamilton Place, Hamilton, with Rosanne Cash, the eldest daughter of legendary Johnny Cash. Cash recently wrote a new song, Land of Dreams, for the Brand USA campaign which was launched at Pow Wow 2012 in Los Angeles, California.
Sana Keller, president, Discover America Canada, said the reception will give the travel industry a chance to meet the artist who has endorsed the Brand USA campaign as well as “give back," since 50 per cent of the proceeds from the event will be given to Children, Incorporated, an international child sponsorship charity.

“The main reason [we decided to feature Rosanne] is because she is the voice behind this campaign [that encourages] visitation from Canada to the U.S.,” Keller said. “Cash was scheduled to perform at Hamilton Place and our organization found out about this, made the connection and reached out to her in the hopes that she would agree to attend this private reception [with the travel industry]. Most importantly, we want to give back to a charity worth of a cause.”
The meet and greet reception with Rosanne Cash costs $40, this includes a signed copy of her latest CD, The List. The meet and greet reception, including the concert, costs $80. To RSVP, e-mail admin@discoveramericacanada.org by Friday, Aug. 10.
