| TICO APPROVES TRAVEL COMPENSATION FUND CLAIMS | |
On July 31, 2012, TICO’s board of directors approved payment of $31,475.62 to assist 74 consumers who did not receive the travel services for which they had paid.
These payments were due to the closures of Panorama Travel & Tours Ltd. o/a flycentraleurope.com in St. Catharines ($1,021.72); Malev Airlines in Hungary ($28,781.90) and Minfare Travel Inc. o/a Minfare Travel in Mississauga ($1,672.00).
The board also denied one claim as it did not contain sufficient documentation to prove a claim.
