The Riu Palace Macao resort is set to reopen on Aug. 4. Available exclusively in Canada from Signature Vacations , the resort has undergone a full renovation at a cost of $14 million.
As of Nov. 1 2012, the resort will become the first Riu resort in the Americas to adopt an adults only concept.
While the resort will maintain its colonial style facade, it will have new swimming pools, updated restaurants and rooms, and a modern Riu interior design concept.
The 364 rooms will feature new furniture, décor, linen and drapes, flat screen televisions, and showers. Hydro massage baths will also be available in the suites. The resort’s pool and garden areas have also been completely remodelled, and dining options include a choice of Italian, steakhouse, Japanese speciality restaurants, as well as a buffet at Riu’s Krystal fusion restaurant.
Signature Vacations and the Riu Palace Macao will also include the RIU-Topia inclusions which offer guests a welcome cocktail, unlimited international drinks, in-room liquor dispenser, in-room mini bar re-stocked daily, unlimited dining at specialty restaurants, free in-room safe, and complimentary WiFi in the lobby. In addition, guests will also have access to the RIU Palace Collection which includes 24-hour room service, poolside waiter beverage service, champagne breakfast daily, and more.
All Signature Vacations packages to Punta Cana include flights aboard Sunwing Airlines. Onboard, passengers receive champagne service, hot towel service, a choice of hot meals at lunch and dinner served with a choice of wine, and complimentary in-flight entertainment, including first run movies.
For $40 more per flight segment, travellers can upgrade to Sunwing’s Elite Plus service, which features advance seat selection, separate check-in at a majority of airports, advance boarding, 30 kg baggage allowance, and extra legroom seats.
