CONNAISSANCE ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH UCPA

Connaissance Travel and Tours has announced its partnership with UCPA (French National Union of Outdoor Sports and Centres for youth), a not-for-profit organization administered by the French government.

This association with UCPA enables the Ultimate Outdoor Sporting Activity offered in France, an opportunity for all participants to enhance their French language skills as all activities are fully conducted in French. The overall vision, environment and mission at all the UCPA Sporting Camps allows for the developing of new friendships together with the building of confidence, leadership, independence and self-esteem which are all characteristics embedded in all the activities available at the camps.

Sporting activities include windsurfing, sailing, kite surfing, water skiing, diving, kayaking, snorkeling, hiking discovery trails, golf, horseback riding, tennis, skiing, snowboarding, and more. There is a choice of more than 70 locations in France that feature 40 sporting activities.

All activities are conducted by a fully trained, accredited and professional staff and instructors whose main goal is to offer the best possible supervision, and training that adapts and enhances every participating young person's personality, development and safety. The biggest brand names in sports equipment are used for all the activities and are constantly upgraded and updated. There is daily entertainment available at the camps that are geared to suit all the various age groups that attend these camps and locations.

The programs being offered are applicable to the following age groups: 6 to 11 years; 11 to 13 years; 13 to 17 years; 18 to 39 years.

Connaissance Travel and Tours is currently offering a choice of three fully escorted sporting adventure programs for the summer months. As these are group departures a minimum of 20 participants are required for each age group.

Applicable departure dates for the three seven-night programs are Port Barcarès Mediterranean Sea from June 29 to July 7, 2012; Bombannes Atlantic Ocean from July 6 to July 14, 2012; and Niolon's Cove Mediterranean Sea from Aug. 24 to Sept. 1, 2012.

The group programs includes round-trip airfare from Toronto, round-trip transfers to and from camp location, youth travel insurance, seven nights’ accommodation, daily buffet style breakfast, lunch, dinner prepared by a French chef and his staff. The accommodation style is shared bedrooms, with lunches around a big table, with shared moments before and after sporting activities and party evenings and young people from all backgrounds can socialize together.
