A strike at the Frankfurt airport will continue until the weekend, according to the striking union. Nearly 200 apron control workers are currently striking in a pay dispute leading to hundreds of cancelled flights since the walkouts began last Thursday.
According to Fraport, the company which runs the Frankfurt airport, more than 80 per cent of flights scheduled to fly on Monday were operational.
An estimated 187 flights are cancelled out of the 1,200 scheduled for today.
According to Lufthansa, which operates more than 50 per cent of the flights at Frankfurt airport, all of its intercontinental flights will still fly.
