GLP Worldwide releases new 2009 China brochure with 9 tours, unique cultural experiences and cruises
GLP Worldwide Expedition Travel and Tours' new 2009 China brochure is now available and highlights nine different China-based tours. The tours feature many of the popular areas of China including Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Xian and many of the tours offered cover the most popular cultural attractions including: the Great Wall of China, Tian’anmen Square, and the Qin Mausoleum featuring 6,400 life-sized terra cotta warriors, archers and infantrymen.
Many of the tours also feature a cruise along the Yangtze River to visit the Three Gorges Dam project. It is the largest dam in the world, using 463,000 tonnes of steel – enough to build 63 Eiffel Towers – and is twice as tall as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.

| A stop to see the famous Giant Pandas is included in the tour | | A special featured tour is the China, Yangtze River Cruise & Hong Kong tour. Nov. 3 to 16, 2009 is the only departure for this particular tour. The tour price is only $4,199 per person plus taxes for the comprehensive 14-day tour. Highlights include: Beijing and visiting various area attractions including Tian’anmen Square, Forbidden City, rickshaw ride to Drum Tower, tea with locals, and the Great Wall of China.
The tour then moves on to Shanghai where there are visits to historic temples and a tour of the famous Silk region. A four-night Yangtze River cruise follows with various stops along the way including the Three Gorges Dam project. Finish off the tour in Xian, the birthplace of Bayu culture -- the area is well known for its Chongqing Zoo and where the famous Giant Pandas can be viewed.
