With over 500 attendees to the Addison Vancouver show, President Rex Armstead says shows are looking good despite the economy
On Thursday evening, the final B.C. portion of the Addison Western spring showcase was held in Vancouver at the Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The show was a resounding success and included a seminar on Recession Proof Selling with Steve Crowhurst, along with a ceremonial presentation of the first-ever THNWest.com Awards of Merit 2008 contest winners.
Plenty of door prizes were handed out, which included donations by the Israel Tourist Board, Latitude Alaska, Old Montreal Hotels, Manulife Financial and a final grand prize draw of a round trip, economy class air ticket donated by Skylink Travel and Qatar Airways.
Al Diolazo of New Millenium Holidays won the air ticket, which allows him to depart from any of Qatar Airways' North American Gateways to any of their destinations.

With over 500 attendees at the Vancouver Addison show, Rex Armstead, President, Addison Travel Marketing was very pleased with the quality of the audience this season.
A successful seminar with Steve Crowhurst
“The seminar was a great success, 30 per cent of the attendees were owners and managers, and comments from the [Addison Show] attendees were good," said Armstead. Keep reading TRAVELHotNews.com this week for a complete look at Steve Crowhurst’s Recession Proof Selling seminar.
Shows are smaller due to economy, but new exhibitors still coming
“The shows are smaller, but interestingly we have a lot of new exhibitors like Latin America [Peru and Patagonia],” Armstead said to TRAVELHotNews. "The three B.C. shows, under the circumstances [of a slowing economy] were very successful, and the Eastern and Prairie series are looking even better.”
