Thomas Cook Canada has said that a “reorganization of its business structure” has led to the elimination of some positions within the company. According to a statement issued the company last week, “a small percentage of positions have been eliminated.” The tour operator says the purpose of the restructuring is to create a stronger operating model through closer relationships with its service department and its commercial units and to streamline the Sunquest business to allow for greater flexibility. WestJet Vacations has announced that effective June 1, 2012, it will be reducing its base commissions.
