FAM-TASTIC ROYAL SCENIC MALAYSIA AND TAIWAN-BALI TRIPS

Royal Scenic and its industry partners recently hosted two fam trips - Malaysia and Taiwan/Bali - that drew rave reviews from returning agents. The Malaysia trip, co-sponsored with Malaysia Airlines and Tourism Malaysia, began in Kuala Lumpur. The tour group of 11 agents explored Kuala Lumpur's sights including the National Palace and the Night Market. In Langkawi, they rode the Cable Car at the Oriental Village and on their Island Hopping Tour, watched eagles feeding.

CZECH REPUBLIC ENTRY REQUIREMENT - PASSPORT NOT ENOUGH
Czech tourism officials warn travellers to be prepared with additional border crossing documentation.
Canadian citizens have not required a visa to travel to the Czech Republic for tourist purposes since May 1, 2004. Holders of valid Canadian passports can enter the Czech Republic for visits up to 90 days. However, tourism officials ask travel trade professionals to note that foreigners crossing the border of the Czech Republic are under obligation to submit, upon request of the customs officer, relevant documents confirming pre-arranged accommodation, health insurance and financial funds sufficient for the period of stay envisaged. Persons unable to comply with the requirements stated in the provision of this law may be denied entry to the country.

ESTONIAN AIR ADDS BLACK SEA RESORT SIMFEROPOL, CRIMEA
Travel agents in Canada can now contact Estonian Air directly and receive  7% commission on published fares.
Estonia's national airline operating from Tallinn and servicing 17 European destinations has announced that it will open a new regular route to the capital of Crimea, Simferopol, beginning March 26, 2006. Mart Relve, Vice President of Estonian Air is confident that the new destination will become popular.

BRITISH AIRWAYS SLASHES MANAGEMENT
British Airways will cut its management force by 35%, or about 600 jobs, by 2008 in a cost-reduction drive, the airline said today.
