AIR CANADA VACATIONS MEXICO RESORT AVAILABILITY UPDATE
Air Canada Vacations has provided an availability update for resorts in Cancun, Cozumel and Mayan Riviera, Mexico affected by Hurricane Wilma. As expected, there is no change on the status of Cozumel, which ACV will not service for the remainder of the 2005/2006 winter season. However, there is significant progress on the Mayan Riviera where 11 properties are now open, the most recent to come back on line being the El Dorado Royale & Spa Resort and the Secrets Excellence Riviera Maya that reopened on Friday, November 25. In Cancun, the Golden Crown Paradise Spa will reopen this Thursday, December 1. Complete details follow.

AIR TRANSAT DESIGNATED TO OPERATE SCHEDULED SERVICE TO GREECE
New bilateral agreement between Canada and Greece opens door for Air Transat to launch increased service beginning in April
Transport Minister Jean-C. Lapierre has announced the designation of Air Transat A.T. Inc. to operate scheduled international air service between Canada and Greece. Air Transat currently holds a non-scheduled international licence for the operation of charter services. Following a modification to Canada's international air transportation policy announced on May 21, 2002, a Canadian air carrier can apply to the Minister of Transport for designation to operate scheduled international air services. The new designation will allow Air Transat to offer scheduled international air service between Canada and Greece.

AIR CANADA JAZZ INCOME FUND SPINOFF TO GO AHEAD
Now that the federal government has taken a hands-off approach to income trusts, Air Canada's parent company is proceeding with a trust conversion and spinoff for its Jazz regional carrier. ACE Aviation Holdings Inc. and Jazz Air Limited Partnership said Monday a preliminary prospectus has been filed with all securities regulatory authorities in Canada for an initial public offering of units of Jazz Air Income Fund. ACE will retain a majority interest in the spinoff of Canada's largest regional airline.

LONG-STAY PROGRAMS ANNOUNCED FOR HAVANA
Tourist authorities in the Cuban capital are promoting long-stay tourist programs, as part of new options to boost the leisure industry, according to a report in DTC News. Villa Tarará and the Hemingway Marina are now available for foreign vacationers. In addition to traditional lodging facilities, the program has also incorporated commercial centres and houses like those in Villa Pilar and Villa Paraíso, at the Hemingway Marina. Other services in the programs are medical treatments and an international pharmacy, post office, Internet, recreational parks for children and a chain of eateries that serve Italian, Chinese, Spanish and international food, in addition to the cybercafés. Transportation on buses, taxis and rented cars is guaranteed, as well as organized tours to places of interest in the capital.
