That was the message she and her team of Orlando attraction, hotel/resort and airline reps also brought to agents and tour operators in a two-day blitz of Montreal and Toronto. Bono was very happy with the response from travel professionals, saying they realize that, despite Florida's
Randy Anger With Shamu
reputation in the trade as a drive-only destination, there are terrific sales opportunities in the Sunshine State. Even the legions of Canadians who have previously visited Orlando are coming back. "Canadians are great travellers," Bono observed. "They like to try different things and then they come back." And presentations by reps from SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Universal Orlando and Walt Disney World Resorts reinforced the message that visitors - first-timers and repeat - will find plenty of changes in Orlando.
