| TRANSAT BOARD APPROVES STRATEGIC PLAN SCRAPS TRUST IDEA |

| Jean-Marc Eustache | Transat says its board of directors has approved a three-year plan that includes giving $125 million to stockholders and has rejected the idea of converting the firm into an income trust. The company also warned that its earnings per share for the fourth quarter will be about 50 per cent lower than a year earlier while 2006 earnings will fall below those of the current year. The new three-year strategic plan will focus on growth and increased profitability, based on an expansion of operations in current and new markets, as well as the implementation of strategies to increase margins.

| JAMAICA REPORTS TOURISM UNTOUCHED - OTHERS FLEE WILMA |

While the Jamaica Tourist Board announced yesterday that all tourism regions have reported no damage from the tropical rain caused by Hurricane Wilma, Cancun's airport was jammed with vacationers getting out of harm's way and visitors were ordered out of the Florida Keys. The monstrous storm, now rated as Category 4, has forced thousands of people to evacuate low-lying areas in a 1,000-kilometre swath covering Cuba, Belize, Honduras, Jamaica, Haiti and the Cayman Islands, officials said. Wilma is expected to produce rainfall accumulations of 10 to 15 inches across portions of Western Cuba and the Yucatan Peninsula, with local amounts near 25 inches particularly in mountainous terrain across Cuba through Friday, the National Hurricane Center predicts.
