SKYTRAX AIRLINE OF THE YEAR - 2005 WINNERS ANNOUNCED
Cathay Pacific has scooped the prestigious Airline of the Year title for 2005, in the latest World Airline Awards announced by Skytrax Research of London. Qantas Airways took silver and Emirates had a podium finish with bronze while the top 10 was rounded out by Singapore Airlines (4); British Airways (5); Malaysia Airlines (6); Thai Airways (7); Qatar Airways (8); Asiana Airlines (9); and ANA All Nippon Airways (10). Air Canada topped the Regional Airlines list for North America.

KIDS FLY FREE TO ORLANDO - SIGNATURE
It'll be pretty hard to make an excuse to leave the kids at home this winter, thanks to Signature Vacations' latest promotion in Winnipeg. For every two adults buying a package holiday to Orlando, one child aged between two and 12 will fly free - all that will be payable are the departure taxes and fuel surcharge. There are no restricted dates (even Christmas and spring break apply), but the holiday must be booked between October 14 and October 31, and seats are limited.

Canadian Companies Donate Relief Supplies - Airport Waives Fees
More than 12,000 kilograms of relief supplies were flown by Air Canada from Toronto
to battered Guatemala City yesterday. The cargo, including over a thousand tents collected by World Vision Canada, plus supplies of diapers and baby formula provided by Shoppers Drug Mart; non-perishable foods provided by Quaker Canada, CARA Operations Ltd., and Unisource Canada Inc.; and, various supplies including baby bottles and formula donated by Loblaws will be distributed by local non-governmental organizations in Guatemala.
