DIVIDEND MILES America West and US Airways have announced details of immediate changes to their joint frequent flyer programs resulting from the merger between US Airways and America West. A new program, which will launch in spring of 2006, will retain the name Dividend Miles. Members of FlightFund, the America West frequent flyer program, and Dividend Miles, the frequent flyer program for US Airways, will be able to redeem and earn miles on flights operated by either airline beginning Oct. 5, and their outstanding mileage balance will be automatically combined and integrated into the new Dividend Miles program in spring of 2006. |

Hosting more than a dozen travel agents and wholesalers at a breakfast seminar at the Delta Chelsea, Cabrera brought the message that Cuba, along with being a sun and beach destination, also wants to encourage recreational and cultural tourism through camping and a more North American/European approach to travelling in and around the country.

| Sean Durfy | Beginning today, WestJet now offers four non-stop return flights per week between Toronto and Fort Myers, Florida. Sean Durfy, WestJet's Executive Vice-President, Marketing and Sales, said yesterday: "We are thrilled to be commencing non-stop scheduled service to Fort Myers. I am confident travellers will be hard pressed to find better value anywhere in the market with our new low-fare, nonstop service between Toronto and Fort Myers. "Flights to Fort Myers will be operated on our new Boeing Next-Generation 737-700 series aircraft equipped with leather seats, more legroom and up to 24 channels of live seatback satellite television with service provided by Bell ExpressVu."

| AIR CANADA EXPANDS SERVICE TO INDIA |

Air Canada has announced that effective October 30, 2005, it is expanding service to India with the launch of daily codeshare flights to Mumbai. Flights will be operated by the carrier's future Star Alliance partner SWISS via Zurich. The same day, Air Canada will introduce its own daily flights from Toronto to Delhi via Zurich, on which SWISS will sell seats on a codeshare basis. Tickets for these flights are now available for purchase.

MARDI GRAS WILL ROLL Mardi Gras organizers promised to roll out the city's signature celebration in February despite the widespread destruction caused by hurricane Katrina. Tourism officials, float builders and parade hosts appeared before the city council to insist the annual pre-Lent celebration, part family party, part Bacchanalian blowout, returns this winter. Mardi Gras organizers said about 25 groups are planning to stage their parades, about a half-dozen fewer than normal. Besides that, they offered no specifics on scaling back the celebration that culminates on Fat Tuesday, which falls on Feb. 28 next year. |
