November 2004 Traffic For Air France-KLM
In November, first month of the winter schedule, the Air France-KLM group posted a satisfactory performance. Activity remained strong although, due to calendar effects, the increase in traffic (up 4.2%) was slightly lower than the increase in capacity (up 4.8%). Load factor stood at 75.7% (down 0.4 points). The Group carried over 5 million passengers in November (up 3.2%).

New all season resort planned for existing Revelstoke ski hill

The B.C. government has approved a massive expansion to a Revelstoke ski hill to create an all-season resort with one of the steepest vertical drops of any resort in the world. The government said in a news release Tuesday it has approved the plan for a resort with more than 16,000 beds, guest service facilities, an 18-hole golf course, a multi-use trail system, 25 lifts and 100 ski and snowboard trails.

Air Canada reports best ever November load factor: 74.6% of seats filled
A downsized Air Canada has reported its best-ever November load factor, with 74.6 per cent of its seats filled during the month. Overall capacity was 3.6 per cent less than a year earlier, while the mainline carrier flew 3.9 per cent more revenue passenger miles. The 74.6 per cent load factor was up from 69.2 per cent in November 2003. On flights within Canada, capacity was cut by 8.5 per cent while traffic rose 2.6 per cent, resulting in a domestic load factor of 76.7 per cent, up 8.3 percentage points from a year earlier.

Paris police compared to Insp. Clouseau after suitcase with explosives lost
Somewhere in the world, there's a navy blue suitcase with a small pack of explosives tucked in its side pocket. Four days after police at Charles de Gaulle Airport slipped some plastic explosives into a random passenger's bag as part of an exercise for sniffer dogs, it is still missing _ and authorities are stumped and embarrassed. Police have sought to minimize public concern by insisting there's nothing to worry about: the explosives had no detonator and are unlikely to pose a danger. But that does little to diminish the fact that French airport security has been planting explosives in the suitcases of unsuspecting passengers _ all in the name of safety.
