SIGNATURE CONSUMER/AGENT INCENTIVE
Pulling into the pumps will be a little easier on Canadian agents' pocketbooks--and their clients'--in the future, thanks to Signature's new Petro Canada promotion. Signature's agent website at (username signature, password SOS). For all bookings to all-inclusive resorts made between October 1 to 18 this year for travel completed between December 16 and April 30, agents will receive a $25 gas card for their own use for every two persons booked.  And for all bookings made between Oct., 1 and 12, clients will receive $50 per person. EP bookings to Portugal will also apply.

SOUTH CAROLINA FOCUSES ON TRAVEL TRADE

Canadian trade professionals may think of South Carolina as a destination for independent travellers, but tourism officials from the state have revealed a new focus on supporting the travel agent community. At a Travel South USA reception, held last week in Toronto and sponsored by South Carolina, CTHotNews interviewed Elaine Michaud, International/Travel Agent Sales Manager and Chad Prosser, Director, South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism, both of whom underlined the new emphasis. Michaud was particularly enthusiastic about the launch of the www.MyrtleBeachLovesCanada.com website. "We're excited to be delivering something dedicated to the Canadian Market," she said, describing the site as a great reference tool including a host of discounts for Canadians and a special section for agents in the Groups/Travel Planning section that contains a listing of hotels, restaurants, car rentals and attractions that pay agent commissions. As well The Myrtle Beach Area Vacation Guide lists more than 220 hotel/motel and condo/cottages that pay travel agent commissions.

2005 BIGGEST EXPANSION YEAR FOR KEMPINSKI CHAIN
