SUNQUEST URGES EARLY BOOKING TO AVOID FUEL SURCHARGES
Responding to escalating consumer anxiety fuelled by this week’s soaring gas prices, Sunquest is advising passengers to book now to avoid surcharges in the future. However, avoiding surcharges is just one advantage of early booking. Another is getting exactly the destination, resort, and day of departure travellers want, without running the risk of having to go with a second choice because the first choice was booked. “Many resorts in our top destinations are already sold out for certain dates,” said Andrew Dawson, Sunquest president.

SURF’S UP ON FREEDOM OF THE SEAS
Royal Caribbean International has notched up another on-board adventure first with the introduction of Surf Park at Sea. The cruise line that introduced onboard rock-climbing walls, ice skating rinks and in-line skating tracks unveiled Surf Park at Sea as a feature attraction aboard what will be the world’s largest cruise ship, Freedom of the Seas, when she begins her career in May 2006. Bush, implementation will begin by the end of the year. Those who travel by air or sea from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Bermuda, South America or Central America will have to show a passport or one of four other secure documents by December 31, 2006.

CELEBRITY CRUISES SWAPS SHIPS FOR SOUTH AMERICA - 2006
Celebrity Cruises will “swap ships” for its 2006 sailings in South America to avoid disruption of guests’ vacations and keep both Millenium and Infinity on track for scheduled drydock periods. Celebrity’s Millennium will replace sister ship Infinity in South America, while Infinity will sail in the Caribbean. “Drydock availability for Infinity changed following completion of our 2006 deployment plans, so to avoid disrupting any of our guests’ vacation plans, we chose to swap ships,” said Celebrity’s President Dan Hanrahan. “Millennium is scheduled to enter drydock this November, just before returning from Europe to the Caribbean, leaving the ship perfectly positioned to offer our guests a full, uninterrupted season of cruising in South America.”
