Born and raised in a small town in Quebec, Bishop's mom is Canadian, her father from Barbados. The third of six children, all spanning eight years from the oldest to the youngest, Bishop grew up in a very French environment. She notes loving the hustle and bustle of a European lifestyle, complete with warmth, affection and boisterous conversation. "I still calculate in French, I dream in French and for the life of me, I can't do English math," she quipped.

AeroMexico launches inaugural flight from Toronto to Mexico City
AeroMexico's inaugural flight between Toronto and Mexico City was launched today from Toronto Pearson International Airport. After a brief presentation and ribbon-cutting celebrating the airline's first service to the Canadian market, the airline was set for a 9 a.m. departure to Mexico City. Presenters at today's launch included: Frank Galan, Vice President, U.S. Operations, AeroMexico; Consul General Carlos Pujalte, Mexican Consulate; Lloyd McCoomb, President & CEO, Greater Toronto Airports Authority; and Ruberman Aldana, Central U.S. & Canada Region Director, AeroMexico.

Tourism Fiji announces new mandate and incentives for Matai Specialists; must generate a minimum of 4 bookings annually
In light of Tourism Fiji's new mandate that Matai Specialists must generate a minimum of four bookings annually to remain active in the Fiji Matai program, Tourism Fiji will offer sales incentives in support of the Fiji National airline carrier, Air Pacific. The Matai Specialists incentives program includes three tiers and is outlined as follows: Tier One - TABUA Group; Tier Two - TAKIA Group; and Tier Three - BILO Group. The BILO is a general tier which encompasses newly registered Matai agents, who will be offered a FAM trip to Fiji. Statistics Canada announces largest travel deficit ever
According to Statistic Canada, Canada's international travel balance of $12.6 billion for 2008 was the largest deficit ever recorded. The a 26 per cent increase over 2007 was created due to the amount of Canadian citizens spending abroad versus what foreigners spent in Canada. In 2008 Canadians spent a total of $28.9 billion on trips abroad - $7.2 billion in the final three months, while foreigners only spent $16.2 billion while in the country.
