CIT Tours adds 2 new small coach tours - 'Highland Highlights' and 'Islay & The Whisky Coast'
 |
| Urquhart Castle, Loch Ness | | Along with several additional motor coach tours in Italy and Spain, CIT Tours has introduced two new fully escorted coach tours in Scotland - 'Highland Highlights' and 'Islay & the Whisky Coast', both featured in the Enchanting Europe and Best of Italy 2009 brochure. Visiting some of Scotland's most intriguing sites onboard a deluxe minibus, these coach tours are as close as your clients can get to touring in their own car, but with the added benefit of an expert driver/guide's intimate knowledge of Scotland. Travelling as a small group means many stops can be made along the way and "out of the way" places can be reached, allowing your clients more time off the coach to discover the 'real' Scotland.

NS TOURISM DOWN Canadian Press Year-end tourism figures for 2008 show Nova Scotia had almost 2,080,000 visitors, down about three per cent from the previous year. But the provincial government says the economic impact of the tourism industry was $1.33 billion, about the same as 2007. The vast majority of visitors in 2008 - 87 per cent - came from other parts of Canada. Nine per cent came from the United States, while four per cent were from overseas. The number of room nights sold for accommodations last year went up by 25,000, or one per cent. |
