AC’S HECTIC HOLIDAY
Air Canada conducts internal review of holiday season after cancellations, inclement weather
The Globe and Mail has reported that Air Canada is ordering an internal review of how it responded after winter storms during this past holiday season. With many cancellations and delays across the country, the carrier’s on-time performance fell to 59 per cent in December, which did not meet the airline’s target of 68 per cent. In contrast, Air Canada’s November on-time performance was 85 per cent.  Montie Brewer, the airline's CEO, said,  “We are reviewing our performance at all levels throughout the company. We are not doing so to assign blame but rather to see what went wrong, what we can and must do better, and what worked well.” [Full text and pictures]
