The show was a resounding success and included a seminar on Recession Proof Selling with Steve Crowhurst, along with a ceremonial presentation of the first-ever THNWest.com Awards of Merit 2008 contest winners and plenty of door prizes, which included donations by the Israel Tourist Board, Latitude Alaska, Old Montreal Hotels, Manulife Financial and a final grand prize draw of a round trip, economy class air ticket donated by Skylink Travel and Qatar Airways. Emirates announces Dubai Stopover Program; features up to 3 nights of discounted accommodations, tours and safaris Emirates has recently announced their new Dubai Stopover Program on Arrival, which features discounted accommodations, tours and safaris for up to three nights. Emirates passengers travelling through Dubai can partake in this program with hotel accommodations starting at $60 per person, per night (based on two people sharing a room). | SUNWING ADDS TO FLEET |

New Boeing 737-800 brings fleet to 14; another plane expected in April
Sunwing Airlines has added another Boeing 737-800, bringing its fleet to 14 in number. A 15th aircraft is slated for delivery in April this year. Like Sunwing’s other aircraft, it will seat 189 in Elite and Elite Plus seating, and serve the airline’s scheduled and charter routes throughout Canada, the US, the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America. The carrier has recruited 14 additional pilots and 35 flight attendants to accommodate the expansion. This winter, Sunwing is flying from 28 cities across Canada to 30 destinations.
