| ADDISON EASTERN SHOWS START WITH A BANG |

| The ribbon-cutting ceremony at Addison Toronto | | The Addison Eastern Series of shows kicked off in downtown Toronto for the first time ever on Monday afternoon. Approximately 475 travel agents - many of them brand new faces - attended the show to meet with a wide range of exhibitors. Rex Armstead, President of Addison Travel Marketing, said of the Toronto show, "It was truly exciting running the first Addison Show downtown. The exhibitors were all extremely happy and we hope to make the Metro Toronto Convention Centre our permanent home." Exhibitors, a number of them coming for the first time to the Addison shows, expressed their satisfaction with the number of agents and the centrally located venue. | SECOND ANNUAL DAD A SUCCESS |

Monday morning ushered in the second annual edition of Discover America Day (DAD), a day of face-to-face business appointments between 35 U.S. suppliers, Canadian media and travel trade representatives. Hosted at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in downtown Toronto, the day was split into two portions. The Media Marketplace was held in the morning, with a trade component in the afternoon. At the close of the Media Marketplace, two tickets from Northwest Airlines were awarded to one of the participating writers. Kate Pocock won two economy-class tickets from Canada to anywhere in the mainland U.S. Keep reading for highlights from the keynote presentation and U.S. suppliers.

bmi to cancel service form London Heathrow to Ankara and Ekaterinburg
bmi has announced they will cancel their services from London Heathrow to Ankara and to Ekaterinburg. Ekaterinburg service will be suspended from the October 13, 2008, and the Ankara route from the October 16, 2008 for the following BD flight numbers: BD976, BD977 & BD978. bmi stated in a release, "Our immediate priority is to re-accommodate passengers booked on these services with the minimum of disruption. Porter Airlines announces YTZ to Chicago beginning Nov. 12

| Chicago's Millenium Park | | Porter Airlines has announced a Chicago Midway International Airport addition from Toronto City Centre Airport (TCCA), which will begin November 12. Currently Porter is the only carrier offering service between these two airports. The full schedule from this service includes six roundtrip flights every weekday, plus two Saturday and three on Sunday. An initial schedule of three daily roundtrip flights per weekday and two each on Saturday and Sunday will be in effect until Jan. 7. As of Jan. 8, the full schedule of six daily weekday flights and added weekend service will be implemented as Porter's eighth aircraft is put into service. Introductory fares start at $149 one-way, plus fees and taxes.

Hola Sun hosts 'Mega' FAM Sept. 20-27; big success
Hola Sun staff, along with 40 plus agents recently arrived back from a one-week FAM in Cuba that was held from September 20 to 27. The focus of the FAM was to celebrate Havantur, Hola Sun's apparent company's 30th anniversary. The FAM consisted of hotel inspections, city tours, presentations and gala dinners. Areas highlighted included: Varadero, Cayo Santa Maria, Cayo Coco/Cayo Guillermo, Trinidad and Cienfuegos.
