Based in Toronto, Sandra will be responsible for increasing the profile and brand awareness of G.A.P Adventures in North America by developing sales strategies and business building initiatives. Sandra has more than 19 years of experience in the travel industry most recently holding the position of director of travel industry sales at Kensington Tours and previously, overseeing the travel rewards and insurance relationships for the Air Miles Reward Program. This past summer the Outaouais region launched the “It’s in Our Nature” campaign slogan. Yesterday they showcased the “Welcoming You” “Pampering You”, “Entertaining You”, “Creating a Capital for You” and “inspiring You” focus. Among the partners were: Casino Lac-Leamy, the Canadian Museum of Civilization, the Canadian War Museum, Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello and the National Capital Commission.

Air Transat increases onboard meal selection on all Europe routes

| Not representative of onboard meal | | Air Transat has announced that it will increase the selection of meals served on its aircraft. Air Transat will now be serving meal trays that include appetizer, main dish and dessert on all its European flights. According to the route being serviced, the airline will offer one of the following choices: Penne primavera, rosé sauce, chicken coq au vin, beef BBQ and beef pot roast. As of today, the airline will begin offering these more complete meals onboard all its flights to Europe.

Intrepid Travel, Vasco and Gama announce deal; VASCO and GAMA announces new educational web platform
Steven Larkin, President - North America for Intrepid Travel, has recently announced that Intrepid has signed on as a preferred supplier with the Vasco and Gama group of travel agencies. Larkin says that the entire Intrepid team in Canada is looking forward to working with the 190 locations of Vasco (the franchise brand) and Gama (the consortium brand) that form the group. Online education and training is the focus of the new website that launched Wednesday for VASCO and GAMA Travel offices. The site allows the company to post training content for their agencies, plus takes advantage of preloaded content by their preferred supplier partners.
