| Rick McCauley, Senior Director Sales & Marketing, Barcelo | | A face-to-face with Barcelo’s Rick McCauley Lisa Raffaele On Wednesday TRAVELHotNews met with Rick McCauley, Barcelo’s senior director of sales and marketing to discuss the group’s 2008-2009 new product highlights and company focus. Currently the Barcelo group has been focusing on highlighting the wedding and honeymoon market and promoting their summer specials. According to McCauley there will also be a high end product push for the upcoming travel season and a change in the way luxury product is sold in the Canadian market. McCauley’s goal for 2008-2009 is to increase awareness of Cayo Santa Maria, Cuba. Currently 80 per cent of the hotels are expected to be sold by the Canadian market, Quebec still holding the largest percentage. This fall the Barcelo Cayo Santa Maria, in Cayo Santa Maria, Cuba will be entering its first phase, which consists of the first of four hotels set to open in November with 632 rooms. Once completed, the complex will include a total of 13,000 rooms.

| ICELANDAIR GETS NEW CEO |

| Birkir Holm Gudnason, CEO, Icelandair | | Icelandair appoints Birkir Hólm Guðnason as new CEO and anounces new company changes Birkir Hólm Guðnason has been appointed CEO of Icelandair. Birkir has been with Icelandair for eight years and has most recently held the position of general manager for Scandinavia. Björgólfur Jóhannsson, who is the current CEO of Icelandair Group, has been acting CEO of Icelandair, and now steps down from that post to continue as CEO of the Group. Guðnason says he looks forward to the job ahead; "It is an honour to have the opportunity to lead Icelandair. I have worked for the company in a variety of jobs and countries and I know we have great staff which I look forward to working with. The big task ahead is the profitable operation of Icelandair in the challenging present environment. That is an exciting challenge which I will enjoy tackling with my colleagues."

Canada, Florida and Las Vegas on sale: buy one seat and save up to 50% on the second
Sunwing Airlines has launched a new seat sale which offers discounts of up to 50 per cent on the second seat when two roundtrip airfares are purchased together. The sale is on until May 23 and applies for trips completed by October 31 this year. The sale applies to Sunwing flights between Toronto and Orlando, Florida; as well as on the carrier’s recently-extended domestic flight network between Toronto and 12 cities from Victoria to St. John’s, and between Vancouver and Montreal. Come September, Sunwing will add flights from Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto to Las Vegas, which are also part of the promotion.
