IFS Voyages Inc., including Fun Sun, Intair, Exotik and Boomerang Tours, purchased by Thomas Cook Group

TRAVELHotNews.com has obtained a press release this morning from IFS Voyages, detailing the specifics of their acquisition by Thomas Cook Group. The acquisition will see IFS Voyages inc. (IFS) whose shares are controlled by Triwest Travel Holdings (TTH) sell 100 percent of the shares to Thomas Cook Group plc. subject to regulatory approval.
IFS, headquartered in Montreal, was formed though the merger of Fun Sun Vacations Ltd and V.IT Voyages Intair Transit Inc. in December 2005.

IFS operates the Intair, Fun Sun Vacations, Exotik Tours and Boomerang Tours brands. Thomas Cook North America’s independent travel division includes the Holiday House, Network and Encore Cruise Escapes brands.
Further details on the new organization will be revealed once the deal becomes final, following regulatory approval. In the meantime, IFS Voyages states that “we remain focused on continuing to offer the best products and services to our customers.”
