The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) hosted a town hall meeting in Toronto last night to offer their registrants information about their new consumer awareness campaign and to discuss the implementation of new Education Standards which will take effect in 2009. TICO President and CEO Michael Pepper, along with Dorian Werda, Manager, Administration and Claims, and Legal Counsel Tracey McKiernan presented the information to the registrants who attended. A member of TICO'S Board of Directors, Simon Parry, President of Helen Thompson Travel, was also in attendance.

Sunquest is kicking off the month of December with a consumer promotion that will feature limited time deals for every day this month, up until Christmas Eve. This 'Countdown Calendar' promotion will feature one deal per day, valid for 24 hours only (12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.), running from Dec. 1 to 24, 2008. These one-day deals will vary by region (Toronto, Montreal and Western Canada gateways) and will feature prices on a number of Sunquest's Southern Sun packages. The offers will be specific to route, hotel and duration, and will only be valid for that particular day.
