Brussels Airlines and Jet Airways sign codeshare from YYZ-BRU
Last week, Brussels Airlines and Aviatours, in collaboration with the Tourism Office of Morocco invited 100 travel agents to promote the new codeshare agreement between Brussels Airlines and Jet Airways on Toronto Brussels direct daily flights. Since Sunday Oct. 26, Brussels Airlines and Jet Airways have gone one step further in their cooperation; Brussels Airlines passengers can now travel daily between Toronto and Brussels. The codeshare agreement gives Brussels Airlines the opportunity to put its 'SN' code on all flights operated by Jet Airways from Toronto to Brussels. The route is flown on Airbus A330-200 aircraft in a 2 class configuration (Economy and Business). Brussels Airlines Privilege members can earn points on all flights. Keep reading for schedules.

| TICO RELEASES FRENCH STUDY GUIDE, EXAM |

TICO now offers Education Standards French Study Manual; French-language exams can be written beginning Jan. 12, 2009
The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) has announced that its Education Standards Study Manual and Proctor Guide are now available in the French language. The materials are available as PDF downloads; free of charge, from both the TICO and Canadian Institute of Travel Counsellors (CITC) websites. The Study Manual is also available for purchase in a coil-bound edition for $15.00 plus GST, from CITC. Candidates will be able to write the TICO Travel Counsellor and/or Supervisor/Manager Exams in French starting on January 12, 2009. Candidates wishing to write the exam in French may start registering for the exams today.

Flight delays, cancellations begin to pile up as snow piles up southern Ontario

Pearson International Airport is listing dozens of flight delays and cancellations as a winter storm tightens its grip on southern Ontario. More than 70 flights are cancelled out of the Toronto airport, with an equal number of delays, on what is one of the busiest travel days of the year. Although it started snowing at Pearson at about 8 a.m., the delays and cancellations are mainly due to problems at other airports. About 100,000 people are expected to pass through Pearson today - the last work or school day before the Christmas holiday break for many.
