WESTJET TEAMS UP WITH MOKULELE
WestJet has signed a partnership with Mokulele Airlines, an inter-island airline based in Kona, Hawaii. The deal will make it easier for travellers to connect to the islands served by Mokulele and provide Hawaiians greater access to WestJet's network. The airlines are finalizing details of an arrangement to promote each other on their respective websites.

Yesterday evening at their office, EW Tours hosted their annual Christmas reception. Friends from the industry dropped by EW Tours' Mississauga office to spread the cheer enjoy hors d'oeuvres, drinks and mingling with their colleagues. Huntington's office will be closed on Dec. 25, 2008 and Jan. 1, 2009
Huntington wants to let travel agents know their holiday hours this year. Please note that the office will be closed on Thursday Dec. 25, 2008 and on Thursday Jan. 1, 2009.

The holiday hours are as follows:

Wednesday Dec. 24, 2008: 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. EST
Thursday Dec. 25, 2008: Office Closed
Friday Dec. 26, 2008: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. EST
Wednesday Dec. 31, 2008: 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. EST
Thursday Jan. 1, 2009: Office Closed


SUNQUEST WAIVES WINTER FUEL SURCHARGE
Sunquest announces elimination of fuel surcharge on new winter bookings; effective Dec. 12 to Dec. 16, 2008
Effective Dec. 12 and running until Tuesday Dec. 16, 2008 at midnight, Sunquest has eliminated the fuel surcharge on all new winter bookings, saving clients $90 per person. Valid on travel from Jan. 1 to Apr. 30, 2009, for all of Sunquest's Ontario and Atlantic Canada gateways, and from Feb. 1 to Apr. 30, 2009, for Sunquest's West and Quebec gateways, it applies to all Southern Sun package vacations, as well as Caribbean cruises. Applicable to Groups and combinable with Sunquest's Countdown Calendar deals, clients can also add RainCheck (for free if they book by midnight on Friday Dec. 12, 2008; $39.95 per adult, at 20 per cent commission afterwards). SILK HOLIDAYS GIVES THE GIFT OF GAS
Silk Holiday announces $25 gas coupon agent booking incentive
Silk Holidays has announced that their travel agent booking incentive promotion will be expiring soon. For bookings and deposits received by Dec. 15, 2008, Silk Holidays will be giving away a $25 gas coupon, per client booked for all-inclusive packages. RESORTQUEST'S $13.5M MAKEOVER
As of February 2009 ResortQuest Waikiki Sunset will undergo room renovations including: A new color palette of neutral earth tones, new lighting fixtures, redesigned kitchen that include refrigerators with icemakers and radiant glass-top stoves, combination microwave oven/range hood, new furniture including a desk and a taller bedroom dresser to open up the room space and more. A total of 312 units are scheduled to be completed by April 2010. The total renovation cost is nearly $13.5 million with an estimated renovation cost per unit of $40,000.

SEATS REMAIN ON WESTJET'S WEB
WestJet announces seats remaining feature to web site
WestJet hasadded a new feature to the booking portion of its web site to show guests how many seats remain at a certain price or on specific flight. The seats remaining feature will show guests when there are nine or fewer seats left at a fare level or on the aircraft itself. The online countdown will not be displayed unless there are fewer than 10 seats remaining. The seats remaining feature is one of several recent enhancements made to westjet.com. Advance seat selection allows guests to choose where they will be seated at the time of booking, or up to 24 hours before their flight departs. [Full text and pictures]
