| Farewell to Tianguis: Mexican tourist officials at the ribbon-cutting ceremony | | Another edition of Tianguis ended Wednesday afternoon in Acapulco after three days of conferences and meetings with tourism stakeholders in Mexico. Regarded as the main marketplace of tourism in Latin America and the seventh largest in the world, the 33rd edition of Tianguis welcomed buyers from over 20 countries and more than 250 media from all over the world to learn about the latest trends and developments in Mexico's tourism industry.

An exciting day trip, the stop at Coba was part of the Flight Centre exclusive FAM conducted by Signature Vacations from April 11th to 14th, 2008. Staying at the Ocean Coral by H10 Hotels, the group spent their days touring some of the area's best-sellers including all of the Iberostar and Karisma resorts, while nights were spent taking advantage of the sizzling nightlife in both Cancun and Playa del Carmen. Short and sweet, the 4 day FAM was a great success!

| ICELANDAIR TOUCHES DOWN IN HALIFAX |

Inaugural 2008 flight celebrates return to Halifax, continuing Open Skies agreement
The first Icelandair flight of 2008 from Canada touched down yesterday at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. With up to three flights weekly, the service reflects the continuation of Icelandair’s Open Skies agreement with the Canadian government. As part of the celebration of service from Halifax, Icelandair has paired with the Halifax-based radio station, C100 FM, for the “C100 FM Icelandair Amazing Race.” Three couples will compete in a race around multiple destinations on Icelandair’s route map, including Iceland, Copenhagen and London. While in Iceland, contestants will visit the organic waters of the Blue Lagoon, the famous Golden Circle and the beautiful South Shore with its black sand beaches, waterfalls and glaciers. C100 FM will also be broadcasting live from Iceland starting April 22.

In conjunction with Earth Day, G.A.P’s non-profit organization tackles challenge of clean drinking water for all
Planeterra, the non-profit organization founded by G.A.P Adventures to give back to the communities its tours visit, will turn its focus from green to blue. In conjunction with Earth Day 2008, Planeterra has begun carrying out a number of projects designed to help alleviate the devastating effects of the shortage of clean drinking water worldwide, and will continue to do so for the rest of April. This is the second year that Planeterra has conducted a world-wide cleanup in conjunction with Earth Day. There will also be a contest that allows one lucky winner to take a volunteer trip to Costa Rica, helping out with village projects and other initiatives. Read on for more details.

| CANADA SEES RISE IN OVERSEAS VISITORS |
|
Overseas visits to Canada is at highest level in 4 years; tourists from Asia Canadian Press Travel from overseas countries inched up to its highest level since October 2004, reaching 401,000 trips, largely on the strength of travel increases from Asia. Travel from China was up 6.3 per cent, South Korea rose 3.2, and Japan climbed two per cent. These offset declines from Canada's two most important overseas markets, Britain (down 1.2 per cent) and France (down one per cent). Foreign visitors made nearly 2.3 million trips to Canada in February, the lowest monthly level since record keeping started in 1972. Canadians made an unprecedented 667,000 trips overseas, up 1.9 per cent from January. Travel to overseas countries has increased 59.7 per cent in the last five years.

| QATAR AIRWAYS EXPANDS INDIAN NETWORK |

Doha-Kozhikode (formerly known as Calicut) route launches June 15, 2008

| Kozhikode International Airport | | Qatar Airways has announced new flights to the southwest Indian coastal city of Kozhikode – the airline’s third gateway in the state of Kerala – beginning June 15. Formerly known as Calicut, the city is Kerala’s third largest with a population of almost 500,000 people and is home to serene beaches, historic sites, lush green scenery and world-renowned Ayurvedic health treatments – a haven for holidaymakers seeking adventure and relaxation. Qatar Airways will operate daily non-stop services between Doha, capital of the State of Qatar, and Kozhikode using an Airbus A320 aircraft.
