Gala dinner event and trade show held to celebrate Mexicana David Bell
The landmark King Edward Hotel in Toronto was the location for “Mexicana’s Autumn Event” on September 27, 2007. This well-attended evening included a trade show, a cocktail hour for guests to mingle and chat, a presentation by Inirida Zerpa, Regional Sales Manager, Mexicana, and a gala dinner and dance. The trade show provided agents with an opportunity to meet with the various suppliers to learn of their latest developments and offerings.

| Anheuser-Busch staff brought some furry friends to the luncheon | | Anheuser-Busch Companies Inc. and Busch Entertainment Corporation recently held a press conference on Wednesday September 26th at The Rosehill in Toronto, announcing their two newest theme attraction parks set to open spring 2008. The noontime event was also attended by several preferred suppliers and industry partners, as well as Animal Ambassador Julie Scardinia and her animal companions. SeaWorld will open a new water park in Orlando, Aquatica, modeled upon the landscapes of the South Sea Islands, and Tampa Bay will see the new Jungala park, a Congo-themed animal park.

Caribbean Week goes from an outdoor consumer fair to an indoor Media Marketplace Lisa Raffaele
Last week marked the first ever launch of Caribbean Week in Canada. The events commenced at Yonge Dundas Square for consumers, and then went indoors for the media. The outdoor Caribbean Fair featured more than 30 Caribbean exhibitors from Antigua to Turks & Caicos, and included airlines, hotels and tour operators. On Thursday afternoon, 28 Caribbean exhibitors from Cuba to St. Lucia set up shop for the media at 1 King St. W. The Caribbean Media Marketplace included booths from tourist boards, tour operators, and introduced all the officials from their respected islands in the Caribbean.

| WESTJET’S FULL WINTER |

Airline introduces St. Lucia service, enhances Hamilton service from Hamilton and adds flights to Nassau from Calgary, Halifax Charmaine Pang

| St. Lucia is new this winter for WestJet | | WestJet is preparing for a full winter season, with new sun destinations and additional service from existing gateways. WestJet today announced the introduction of new seasonal non-stop service from Toronto to St. Lucia (UVF). Service to the new sun destination begins December 16, 2007. The Calgary-based airline has also enhanced its non-stop service from Hamilton to Nassau, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and Tampa. Calgary and Halifax will also be flying to Nassau. In addition, Halifax will soon be connected to Fort Lauderdale by February 2008. "This is exciting news for WestJet Vacations," said John Hamilton, Vice-President, WestJet Vacations. "This expansion enriches the already strong package offerings to our sun destinations. I am confident that our value-added vacation packages will offer something for everyone."

| Bruce Slade, Intair; Denise Heffron, Transat/Nolitours; John Hamilton, WestJet Vacations; Lorraine Brisbois, Sunwing Vacations | | The ACTA Open Forum held at the Addison Travel Trade Show in Toronto on Wednesday September 26th, provided the 70 attendees the occasion to engage wholesalers on a number of problems as revealed in a recent survey conducted by ACTA Ontario. “This type of dialogue has worked well in the past and I am happy to see the participants benefiting from this opportunity”, stated Heather Craig-Peddie, ACTA Ontario Regional Manager. The regional survey, previously conducted in Quebec, identified a number of issues expressed by travel professionals when it comes to booking passengers with a wholesaler or tour operator.
