| Governor of Arizona Janet Napolitano and Margie Emmerman, Director, Arizona Office of Tourism | | A low-key, yet elegant affair took place last night at the Liberty Grand complex in downtown Toronto, celebrating the connections between the state of Arizona and Canada. The Honourable Janet Napolitano, Governor of Arizona, and over 30 delegates representing the fields of tourism, economic development, academics and science are in Canada for a trade and tourism mission. Approximately 120 guests were present at the event, including tour operators, business leaders and the media. The evening also served as an introduction to the new Canadian representatives for the Arizona Office of Tourism. Maybelle Ravin, President and CEO of RMR Group, Richard Eve, Canadian Marketing Representative, and Bart Card, Canadian Media Representative, were awarded the account in September this year.

| SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS |

Airports, hotels, most attractions and businesses are open for business; rest of California remains unaffected by fires

| Southern California coastline | | Wildfires are currently affecting large areas of Southern California, and the executive director of the California Travel & Tourism Commission, Caroline Beteta, has issued a communiqué to assure prospective visitors that Southern California remains open for business. Southern California airports, hotels and most attractions and businesses are still open and fully operational. Additionally, most of California remains unaffected by the fires, including the Deserts, Central Coast, San Francisco Bay Area, Central Valley, Gold Country, High Sierra, North Coast and Shasta Cascade regions. CTTC is urging visitors to call ahead to confirm reservations, flight times, road conditions and hours of operation instead of cancelling travel plans. | SIA TO SYDNEY: A380’s FIRST FLIGHT |

Singapore Airlines' plane makes aviation history with flight to Sydney Canadian Press

| Sydney | | The Singapore Airlines Airbus A380 took from Singapore's Changi Airport and landed about seven hours later in Sydney to launch a new era in air travel. Also on board flight SQ380 were a crew of about 30 including four pilots. Passengers clapped as the plane disengaged from the dock on schedule at 8 a.m. More cheers broke out 16 minutes later as the double-decker plane, powered by four Rolls Royce Trent 900 engines, soared into the nearly cloudless sky. Flight attendants handed out champagne and certificates to passengers, some of whom paid tens of thousands of dollars in an online auction for the seats to be part of aviation history.

| AIR FRANCE CABIN CREW STRIKE |

Air France announces special commercial measures for travellers affected by strike, Oct 25-Oct 29
Air France expects disruptions to their flight schedule, in light of the cabin crew union’s call for strike action. The strike will take place Thursday morning Oct 25, 2007 and end on Monday evening, October 29, 2007. Short and medium-haul flights between France and Europe will be affected, but 90 per cent of the flights should be operating, as well as the entire long-haul flight schedule. Special measures will be taken by Air France throughout the strike. Throughout the strike action, passengers will be able to change their flight at no extra cost, irrespective of the fare paid. | Cancun | | The Mexico Tourism Board’s Toronto office is partnering with consulting company Canada2Mexico to offer two days of seminars, workshops and exhibits for Canadians considering retiring to or spending extended stays in Mexico. The event will take place on October 27th and 28th in Toronto. During the two-day event, prominent guest speakers will cover topics relevant to living in Mexico including health, taxes and savings, visa strategies, residency issues, insurance and real estate investment. Participants will also join special guest Cary Mullen, Canadian ski Olympian and World Cup Downhill champion in his compelling presentation, “Why I changed Snow for Sand and the 44 Factors to Consider When Buying Retirement Property".
