A Cuban celebration went on last night at Sassafraz restaurant in downtown Toronto, as Barcelo Hotels & Resorts and the Cuba Tourist Board highlighted Barcelo’s new developments on the island. Approximately 100 guests attended the function, including top producers for the Barcelo brand, tour operator partners, and the media, all of whom were invited to discover Cuba through the world of Barcelo. Cuban-inspired appetizers, Cuba’s famous mojitos and Afro-Cuban dancers set the mood for the night.

| Top producers from Canada with the Issa family | | Last weekend, SuperClubs Resorts celebrated 31 years in the hospitality industry. The celebrations were held at the Grand Lido Negril Resort & Spa in Jamaica from October 19-21. Events included a Q&A session with Chairman John Issa, updates on new developments, and a SuperStar Awards Ceremony to honour top producers. The top producing Canadian tour operator was Air Canada Vacations, and the Nancy Hay Outstanding Production Award for a Canadian tour operator went to Thomas Cook North America. Tour operator significantly expands St. Lucia program, adds 6 new properties to make a total of 13

| St. Lucia | | Sunwing has become a major player in the St. Lucia market, thanks to the recent addition of six properties to its new program out of Toronto.
New hotels range from the affordable all-inclusive Village Inn – with just 76 rooms – to the famous Body Holiday at Le Sport, renowned for its high-end inclusions such as daily spa treatments. Other new additions include well-known properties such as the Jalousie Plantation (nestled beachfront between the spectacular Piton mountains) and the Rendezvous. Cotton Bay Village and the St. Lucian by Rex round out the new properties. The additions mean that Sunwing now features 13 properties in St. Lucia including the Sandals and Almond Resorts.

| Air Transat increases legroom on entire fleet |

New configurations increase seat pitch to 32 inches; available next summer
Air Transat will increase the legroom in the Economy class sections of all of its aircraft starting in May 2008. All travellers who fly on Air Transat next summer will enjoy the comfort of the new cabin configuration. The fleet modification work will start next May and is scheduled for completion in mid-June. The average space between each row of seats will be increased to 32 inches from the current 30 (to 81 cm from 76 cm). This will result in a reduction in the number of seats to 249 from 259 on the fleet’s Airbus A310s, and to 342 from 362 on the A330s. The number of Club class seats remains unchanged in both aircraft: 20 on the A310s and 21 on the A330s.
