Transat stock has soared in recent months after it reported third-quarter earnings of $16.7 million that handily beat analyst estimates and a revenue jump of 21.4 per cent, helped by acquisitions made in 2006 that beefed up its presence in Europe. The company, now in year two of a three-year plan to gain market share and solidify its position as one of Canada's preeminent tour operators, has said it has nearly achieved its ambition to gain a 35 per cent share of the Ontario winter market.
