Alla Emelianova of Carlson Wagonlit/Victor Travel in Toronto won for her photograph overlooking Paris. Emelianova wins a one-week trip for two to the Temptation Getaway and Spa in Cancun, Mexico, courtesy of Sunwing Vacations. Sunwing President and CEO, Colin Hunter, and Marketing Director Anna Tarkowski were on hand to present her with the prize. Emelianova is an aspiring photographer and says she prefers to take landscape-type photographs. Currently, some of her work is on exhibition in New York City as part of a National Geographic contest.

Limited-time fares for travellers over 55 extended until Oct 31; fares start at C$249
Oasis Hong Kong Airlines, the new low-cost carrier flying between Hong Kong and Vancouver, announced that it is extending its offering of special limited-time fares for travellers over 55 until October 31st, 2007. "We understand that people over 55 particularly enjoy visiting family and friends overseas and Oasis Hong Kong Airlines is committed to providing accessible flights for these travellers," commented Stephen Miller, CEO of the airline. "With six direct flights a week from Vancouver to Hong Kong, we look forward to being a positive part of their visit.” Travellers aged 55 and over are eligible for these limited time fares. Nicolas Papakentris has joined the team as new business development manager for western Canada, promoting Scenic’s new European River Cruising product. Papakentris’ background includes two years as a Scenic tour director on European River Cruises and in the Canadian Rockies. Sandra Krotez has also joined Scenic in the newly-created position of call centre manager.
