| Calgary, Alberta | | Lufthansa to begin non-stop Calgary-Frankfurt flights in April Lufthansa will begin daily nonstop Calgary-Frankfurt flights in April. Travellers will find connections to more than 135 cities across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. The carrier recently announced expansion of its Toronto service, with three-cabin services to Dusseldorf starting in May. The Calgary service will use a three-cabin A330-300 and feature Lufthansa’s new in-flight personal entertainment screens in economy, its two-metre-long private bed in business class and first class that includes access to the airline’s first class terminal and lounges in Frankfurt and Munich. The Calgary-Frankfurt service will add to year-round daily nonstop service offered by Lufthansa Star Alliance partner Air Canada.

The fuel supplement, which only applies to the first and second guests in a stateroom and will not exceed $70 per person per voyage, is effective on all bookings for voyages departing on or after Feb. 1, 2008 on the following Carnival Corporation & plc brands – Carnival Cruise Lines, Costa Cruises, Cunard Line, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, and The Yachts of Seabourn.

| Oasis Hong Kong | | Oasis Hong Kong wins new airline of the year and Asia’s leading budget airline Oasis Hong Kong Airlines was awarded with the ‘New Airline of the Year’ title at the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) awards and Asia’s Leading Budget Airline at the 14th Annual World Travel Awards. In an announcement released by CAPA, the award acknowledged Oasis for its contribution to the low fare, long-haul model, and in particular to the rapidly evolving aviation scene in the Hong Kong special administrative region. CAPA’s executive chairman, Peter Harbison, said Oasis is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with: soon extending to a third long-haul destination, with a growing fleet of aircraft, and new investors on board.

WestJet Q3 profit climbs 44 per cent to $76.1 million and Emirates doubles profit in fiscal first half despite fuel costs WestJet Airlines Ltd. has reported it’s best-ever summer quarter. Net earnings increased 44 per cent from a year earlier to $76.1 million, or 58 cents per share, compared with $52.8 million, or 41 cents per share, a year prior, the airline said Wednesday. Revenue increased 22 per cent to $614.1 million from $502.3 million. Operating profit climbed 61 per cent to $144.2 million... Emirates reached a record performance in the first fiscal semester which ended Sept. 30, 2007. The airline reported net profits of AED2.36 billion ($642.6 million), double the AED1.18 billion earned in the year-ago period. Passenger numbers climbed 23% to 10.3 million. Costs grew 19.3%. Capacity measured in ASKs lifted 17% and load factor "improved" to 79.7%, the airline announced.

| Jobson's Cove, Bermuda | | NCL and Bermuda government announce ten-year agreement starting 2009 Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) and the Bermuda Government announced yesterday that they have reached a comprehensive, long-term agreement that calls for two of NCL’s newest and largest ships to be deployed to Bermuda for the next 10 years, commencing 2009 and running through 2018. These ships will predominantly depart from New York and Boston and will each sail at least 22 cruises per season, making extended calls in Bermuda.
