A little ray of sunshine peeked through the overcast November skies yesterday as the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) came to town. The media marketplace event was held at the Fifth lounge in Toronto, allowing journalists to discover what Miami has to offer. Rolando Aedo, Vice President of Marketing & Tourism for the GMCVB, sat down with TRAVELHotNews.com to discuss some of the key strategies Miami is implementing to reach Canadians. AC EXPANDS GERMANY SERVICES

Air Canada expands Canada-Germany services with Lufthansa; three routes added
Air Canada has announced a major expansion of service between Canada and Germany in cooperation with its Star Alliance partner, Lufthansa. New non-stop flights between Ottawa-Frankfurt and Toronto-Dusseldorf have been launched, and a second daily non-stop flight between Calgary-Frankfurt has been added.  By summer 2008, together the two Star Alliance partners will operate up to 11 flights per day in each direction between five cities in Canada and three cities in Germany, representing an increase of 23 per cent in seat capacity from the previous year.
