| CANADA 3000 REFUNDS UNCLAIMED |
|
About $758,000 in refunds unclaimed from Canada 3000 bankruptcy; accounting firm creates website to find missing claimants Canadian Press
About $758,000 in refunds owed to people who flights had booked with Canada 3000 Holidays before it went bankrupt remains unclaimed. The airline filed for bankruptcy in Nov. 2001, leaving many people holding vacation flight tickets. PricewaterhouseCoopers, the court-appointed trustee for Canada 3000 Holidays, says the funds are held in trust for legitimate claims holders. The accounting firm says it has successfully processed about 40,000 refunds to customers since November 2001. However, about 2,700 cheques were returned because claimants either moved or changed their names. PricewaterhouseCoopers says it would like to ``get these funds into the hands of the people who paid for vacation travel that was never realized.'' The list of people with unsettled claims is posted on a web site at www.pwc.com/brs-canada3000. Anyone on the list is urged to contact the Canada 3000 Holidays Claim Centre toll-free number at 1-888-689-8233.

| US TO EXPAND SECURITY RULE FOR CANADIANS WITH VISAS |
|
Canadians entering with work visas must provide all 10 fingerprints to U.S.; program to launch in early 2008 Canadian Press
U.S. officials will start taking 10 fingerprints from Canadians entering the country on visas when they start expanding a four-year security program this month. Under US-VISIT, Canadians on visas have been required to scan their two index fingers and have a digital photograph taken. The biometrics are used to identify people by linking them to their visas or passports. Now, all fingers will be scanned, starting next Thursday at Washington Dulles International Airport and nine other major airports in early 2008. So far, Canadians who need a visa to work in the United States have to go through the process. Eventually, students and others may be included.
