ACE SPLITS UP
ACE Aviation shareholders to split $4.2B as company winds down within six months
Canadian Press

ACE Aviation Holdings Inc. shareholders should pocket $4.2 billion over the next six months as the company unwinds by distributing cash and its interests in Air Canada and other subsidiaries.  ACE holds $1.85 billion of cash and $2.4 billion interest in Air Canada, Aeroplan Income Fund, Jazz Air Income Fund, Air Canada Technical Services (ACTS). The company has already distributed about $2 billion worth of units in Jazz and Aeroplan to shareholders. It signalled for the first time Friday that it also plans to do the same for Air Canada. It would also share the 23 per cent of ACTS it retains, valued at $83 million, plus $40 million in cash proceeds that may be coming its way. Brian Dunne, ACE's chief financial officer, said the company is considering either distributing cash or having at least one issuer bid allowing all shareholders to buy back common shares. BOOK CUNARD & PRINCESS WITH CDN OR US DOLLARS
Canadian agents now have the choice to book Cunard or Princess Cruises in either U.S. or Canadian currency
Cunard's Queen Elizabeth 2
Due to recent changes in the exchange rate of Canadian dollars, Princess Cruises and Cunard Line are now giving Canadian travel agencies a choice between booking their Canadian clients in either Canadian or U.S. dollars.  Effective immediately, this feature applies exclusively to new bookings. Canadian agents booking online can now choose either currency when using POLAR Online, Sabre and Amadeus.   For group bookings, Canadian agencies may continue to open groups in either U.S. or Canadian dollars.  However, each booking within the group must be of the same currency, as the Princess and Cunard group program does not support mixed-currency groups.  POLAR Online will present a currency choice when agencies build new groups online. Additional information about Princess is available through the line's online travel agent center, onesourcecruises.com. To contact the travel agent customer service department, call 1-800-421-1700.

CORRECTION: VISTATOUR LAUNCH
Last Friday, TRAVELHotNews.com inaccurately reported in the “VistaTour Launch” article that the tour operator Megatour has a 40-year history. In fact, Megatour has been in existence for 4 years, and it is Manouk Manoukian, GM of VistaTour, who has 40 years of experience in the industry. TRAVELHotNews.com regrets the error.
