| Duncan Dewar | | VisitBritain, in partnership with VisitScotland, hosted a media luncheon at the Intercontinental Yorkville Hotel, Toronto on March 27th. Toronto was the first stop on their VisitScotland North American Trade Mission. Canada has strong cultural and emotional links with Scotland. Over the winter months this year, traffic increased 20%. This trend is expected to continue --- and increase further --- over the coming summer months and beyond.

Eight New Destinations, 32 Unique Itineraries & New "Classical Europe" Route
An unprecedented selection of European cruises awaits Princess passengers in 2008. Princess' 2008 season offers something for every European explorer's wish list, with six ships calling at more than 115 ports - more than ever before. Eight new ports debut - including such untouched locales as Albania - as well as five new itineraries, including a new "Classical Europe" option that combines the best of Scandinavia/Russia with the Mediterranean in a single cruise. Michael Wilson Urges Balanced Security Measures Canada's ambassador to the United States has put a new twist in the way the common border is described. In a speech to the American Society of International Law, Michael Wilson suggested the Canada-U.S. border should now be known as the longest "secure" border in the world, rather than the longest "undefended" border. Wilson said much has been done to tighten up border security since 9-11. The two countries share intelligence daily and work closely together on immigration matters, and Canadian and U.S. police forces have integrated border enforcement teams.
