Air Transat celebrates inaugural nonstop service to Barcelona

| Jaqueline Merino, Nadia N'Andrea and Tamar Kelly, Air Transat | | Lisa Raffaele Yesterday evening, Air Transat sent out their first flight direct from Toronto to Barcelona. The inaugural flight and celebration left Lester B. Pearson airport without any delays. As travelers waited to board at gate C30 they listened to the music of Fiesta Gitana, a four-piece flamenco group that included two dancers, one guitarist and one percussionist. Bongo drums thumped as the guitarist's Spanish melodies set the mood for the flight’s final destination.

| Beth Fleeton, new Canadian Sales Manager, Universal Resort Orlando | | Beth Fleeton is new Canadian Sales Manager, Universal Resort Orlando Universal Resort Orlando has appointed their first Canadian representative ever, making Beth Fleeton their Canadian Sales Manager. Fleeton has been in the travel business for 18 years, starting as a destination representative, then moving into the role of Area Sales Manager and finally to Sales National Training Manager for Sunquest/Holiday House where she spent the last 15 years prior to joining Universal. Her primary role will be to grow and strengthen the partnerships that Universal Resorts Orlando has with key industry partners. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: strategic marketing, agent incentives, training, and running national ‘webinars’.

He is part of the senior management team at Armstrong Group and is based in Vancouver, B.C. Wainman has spent over 30 years in the hospitality and service industries, the most recent being the Managing Director of International Management Consulting Ltd, based in B.C.
