AC TO RESUME FLIGHTS TO CHARLOTTETOWN
Year-round flights from Toronto to Charlottetown resume in December
Air Canada will resume year-round flights between Charlottetown and Toronto as of Dec. 15, the airline announced Friday, ending a two-year hiatus that caused a rift between the company and Prince Edward Island. (CP)

TRANSAT EXPANDS GATEWAYS IN ONTARIO
London and Kitchener departures now available
Transat Holidays has announced the introduction of its newest gateways to the south for the upcoming winter season. Direct flights from London and Kitchener are now available for booking. London departures to Punta Cana start on December 21st though to March 21st and flights to Cancun will operate on Saturdays from December 22 to March 22.  Kitchener departures to Cancun start on December 24, 2007 through to April 21, 2008, departures to Punta Cana start December 25, 2007 through to March 18, 2008 and to Puerto Plata from December 24 to March 24, 2008.  Also now available are flights direct from Hamilton to Cancun and Punta Cana. New to the Hamilton gateway for the 2007/2008 season is St. Maarten. Sunday departures will begin December 23 through to March 30.  [Full text and pictures]

CzechTourism Canada has moved to a new location in Toronto – the 2 Bloor Street West building at Yonge and Bloor. Sunwing extends groups promotion
Groups promotion runs until July 20th
Sunwing has extended their groups promotion until July 20th. Travel agents will receive $25 cash per passenger, and clients will get a ‘free’ passenger (the 16th, 21st or 26th passenger) at selected hotels. Agents will receive Sunwing route-wide seats for their own holidays as well: two seats for every group of 16 to 20 passengers; four seats for groups of 21 to 39; and eight seats when booking groups of 40 or more. Sunwing has also extended the hours of its Groups department, effective July 3. The hours of operation are now 9 a.m.-8 p.m., E.S.T. The final result of the New 7 Wonders of the world contest was announced on Saturday in Portugal, after a global campaign. About 100 million votes were cast via Internet and text message. The new seven wonders of the world are: Brazil's Statue of Christ Redeemer, Peru's Machu Picchu, Mexico's Chichen Itza pyramid, as well as the Great Wall of China, Jordan's Petra, the Colosseum in Rome and India's Taj Mahal. The seven beat out 14 other nominated landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower, Easter Island in the Pacific, the Statue of Liberty, the Acropolis, Russia's Kremlin and Australia's Sydney Opera House. BOEING’s DREAMLINER REVEALED
Boeing unveils the new 787 Dreamliner in Seattle, WA plant
Boeing raised the curtain on its first fully assembled 787 on Sunday to an audience of thousands who packed into its widebody assembly plant for the plane's premiere.   Boeing has won more than 600 orders from customers eager to hold the planemaker to its promise that the midsize, long-haul jet will burn less fuel, be cheaper to maintain and offer more passenger comforts than comparable planes flying today. The 787, Boeing's first all-new jet since airlines started flying the 777 in 1995, will be the world's first large commercial airplane made mostly of carbon-fibre composites, which are lighter, more durable and less prone to corrosion than aluminum. DELAYS AT YYZ: SECURITY ISSUES
For the second night in a row, a security breach on an Air India flight has caused lengthy delays at Pearson International Airport. Other flights were affected because Transport Canada had put a hold on all flights leaving Pearson's Terminal 3, but officials say those planes are moving again. (CP)
