New marketing, advertising, public relations team unveiled

| Mark Johnston and Laura Johnston of Fathom Communications, Laura Wilfred and Mary Nguyen of the Toronto CIDOT office, Oneisha Richards, Manager, E-Business & Market Research with the Grand Cayman CIDOT, Mark Narsansky of RBA Advertising | | The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (DOT) marked Canada Day this year by revealing its new marketing, advertising and public relations team for the Canadian market. The announcement was made by Ms. Pilar Bush, Director of Tourism, at a celebratory dinner held at the luxury Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman over the weekend, in honour of Earl B. Smith, who is retiring after representing the DOT for 30 years in Canada. The Canadian team is comprised of Laura Wilfred, who along with Mary Nguyen, will spearhead marketing efforts with the travel trade at the new DOT Canada office in Toronto. Advertising will continue to be handled by Mark Narsansky of RBA Advertising, and public relations by Laura Johnston and her team at Fathom Communications.

Rescheduled to Wednesday July 11, from 1PM-3PM EST ACTA has postponed the conference call regarding new financial rules and the PAD agreement, “due to the short notice and the long weekend”, says a press release. The new date of the conference call will be Wednesday July 11th, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm EST. The call-in information will be sent to those who register for the meeting in advance. | Qatar Airways' launch party at Lincoln Center in New York | | Qatar Airways rounded off its New York launch celebrations on Thursday night with a star-studded gala dinner in America’s financial capital. Celebrities from across the New York social, business and entertainment scene joined Qatar Airways at the launch party, held in The Allen Room – a spectacular venue at the city’s Jazz at Lincoln Center, just off Broadway. Business tycoon Donald Trump, Hollywood stars Andie MacDowell and Julianne Moore, and the US Ambassador to the State of Qatar, His Excellency Chase Untermeyer were among the guests at the red carpet event.

| CANADIAN TRAVEL ADVISORY TO U.K. |

Ottawa tells Canadians to be cautious in U.K. following terror incidents The federal government is instructing Canadians to be cautious if they plan to travel to the United Kingdom following terror incidents in England and Scotland. The travel advisory by Foreign Affairs asks Canadians to maintain a ``high level of personal security awareness'' at all times and to keep informed of developments if they travel to the U.K. There is no official travel warning for Canadians at this time, department spokeswoman Catherine Gagnaire said Tuesday. The advisory was issued late Saturday after the British government raised its threat level to its highest warning.
