The event began earlier in the day with a round of golf. Those who couldn’t bear the heat began their evening with a cocktail reception. Both parties joined each other for dinner at MacKenzie Hall, situated slightly off the green. Maurice Heroux, Vice President of Business Development & Marketing for Airliners, was the emcee for the evening. He warmed up the crowd with a few jokes before introducing J.R. Arora, President & CEO, to the guests.

| HONG KONG WELCOMES OVER 13 MILLION VISITORS |

Over 13 million visitors to Hong Kong in first half of 2007; Canadian arrivals rise by 11.5 per cent Charmaine Pang

| A Chinese junk in the harbour | | The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) experienced another surge in visitors for the first half of 2007. Over 13 million visitor arrivals were counted, an increase of 6.8 per cent. The figure includes over 2.03 million arrivals in the month of June alone, an increase of 7.7 per cent from the last year. More specifically, there were 174,354 Canadians who visited Hong Kong in the first half of the year, an increase of 11.5 per cent. Last year’s figures were 156,309. Looking at the month of June alone, 23,700 visitors arrived in Hong Kong from Canada compared with 21,046 in the same month last year.

British Airways announces 75 per cent profit jump during Q1
British Airways PLC said Friday first-quarter profit rose 75 per cent during a week when the airline was hit with a record fine for price-fixing. The carrier said net profit for the three months to June 30 rose to 269 million pounds (US$548 million), from 154 million pounds a year earlier. Revenue fell to 2.19 billion pounds ($4.46 billion) from 2.25 billion pounds. On Wednesday the airline was fined almost $550 million by U.S. and British regulators after the airline admitted some of its employees had colluded with counterparts at rival Virgin Atlantic over fuel surcharges on long-haul flights.

This year, funds raised went to help support the Sam Rizzo MRI Fund at the Brantford General Hospital. The Sam Rizzo MRI fund hopes to purchase an MRI machine so that local Brantford, Ont., residents have access to MRI scans and no longer have to make difficult out of town trips to access MRI equipment. RBC Insurance sponsored one of the holes on the golf course. In the photo at left are some of the RBC Insurance representatives who attended the Tournament of Hope.
