Mottershead sees more opportunities in the Canadian market

| Chris Mottershead | When the news broke last week that itravel2000 had been acquired by UK firm Travelzest, the gasp after the $51.5million price tag, was followed by the question, "Who is Travelzest?" The short answer to that is: Chris Mottershead. Well known to the Canadian travel industry, Mottershead was president and CEO of the North American Leisure Group (NALG) now MyTravel, before leaving to join rival TUI UK in 2001. During his time at NALG, Mottershead honed his acquisition skills, buying wholesaler /consolidator, The Holiday Network, along with discount retailers The Last Minute Club, The Wholesale travel Group, The Travel Hotline and Belair Travel among others.

| HELLO! | Qantas will introduce technology to enable in-flight mobile telephone use and will run a trial on Boeing 767 aircraft over the first three months of 2007. The technology will allow passengers to make calls and send emails and text messages on mobile phones or other personal handheld devices. A survey conducted by the Australian carrier found that the vast majority of its business travellers were interested in such a service, as it would mean they could be contacted at any time and it would represent "an effective use of time".

Rhapsody of the Seas to sail from Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai

| Adam Goldstein | Royal Caribbean International announced its return to Asia in December 2007. Rhapsody of the Seas will debut December 10, 2007, in Singapore offering a series of sailings that will call on Malaysia and Thailand. The ship will then continue on from Hong Kong, where it will arrive in time for the Chinese New Year holiday season, offering a series of itineraries calling at ports in Taiwan, Japan, and Sanya, Hainan Island. Rhapsody then heads to Shanghai, China, from where it call on ports in Japan and Korea.
